Hannover Messe 2017

Fraunhofer IDMT presents in Hall 2, booth C22:

Virtual acoustic product development

Acoustic properties are important quality features of products. State of the art virtual product development hardly considers these properties. Therefore, an acoustically enhanced virtualization of products enables control, evaluation and optimization of the sound of virtual prototypes. The exhibit shows the development stage of an object-based audio rendering process for usage in virtual product development.

Speech recognition and acoustic monitoring in production processes

Fraunhofer IDMT presents an acoustic analysis and recognition system for an industry robot platform that can be applied to automated production environments. Acoustic sensors pick up spoken commands by which the system can be controlled even in acoustically challenging environments like noisy production places. The microphone signal is, furthermore, analyzed by means of acoustic analysis to enable the system to obtain knowledge about its own process status and the status of the material processed.

Acoustic condition monitoring and quality control for Industry 4.0

The combination of acoustic measurement technology, signal analysis, pattern recognition as well as secure processing of measurement data opens up new possibilities for monitoring production processes and product quality. Therefore, Fraunhofer IDMT shows new technologies for acoustic process and condition monitoring, acoustic quality control as well as end of line testing on the basis of a demonstrator.
