NAB Show 2018

At the NAB Show 2018 in Las Vegas, Fraunhofer IDMT presents its latest technologies for A/V analysis and search at Fraunhofer-booth in the South Hall (upper), Stand SU4 916.

Fraunhofer IDMT develops various state-of-the-art technologies for the automatic analysis of audio-visual material allowing broadcasters and digital archives to fully exploit the potential of their content. They can easily be integrated in existing systems and applications.

At this year's NAB Show we present robust fingerprinting-based segment matching and matching technologies including improved audio segment matching algorithms to identify partial matches even for very short segment duration and noisy conditions. This facilitates, for example, content tracking when collaborating with external workers.

Furthermore we show

  • metadata extraction technologies for the automatic, efficient annotation of A/V content items
  • automatic quality control components for error detection
  • audio forensics tools to assess the credibility of user-generated content
  • audio phylogeny analysis components to calculate the processing history within a set of transcoded copies.

This set of technologies is complemented by know-how and tools to support multi-modal analysis & recommendation and privacy-aware data analysis and recommendation based on a unique approach that strongly decouples virtual IDs to real IDs in a system.
