Fraunhofer Institute for Digital Media Technology IDMTIn the »iKabel« project, a technology plattform was developed that allows third parties to provide information services and interactive services in broadband cable networks. The plattform includes components on the service provider's side (server, signal processing, feed), end devices and tools for setting up and maintaining services. The services are fed in at the cable head end. End devices for using these offers are TV sets with modified set top boxes for digital television.
