Your application gives our colleagues in the research departments a first impression of you. That's why it's important to submit an appealing CV that matches your expertise. You can submit your application documents at any time via our online application portal. The following documents are required for your application to Fraunhofer IDMT:
 

CV

We are looking forward to receiving a curriculum vitae from which we can take information about your professional practice, special skills and knowledge, information about your person and education. If you wish, you can also include hobbies and personal interests in your CV. In order to be able to contact you easily in the further application process, please also include your current address and telephone number/e-mail address. We ask international applicants to clearly indicate their first and last names. This will help us avoid misunderstandings. Please also make it clear whether we may address you as Mr. or Ms.
 

Proof of education and professional career

Please enclose a copy of your most recent work and examination certificate (or grade certificate) with your application, as well as an overview of your important publications, if possible. Unfortunately, we can only accept complete applications in order to forward them to our research departments for further processing. Your personal data will of course only be stored in our system for the purpose of the application process and will be treated in strict confidence.
 

Cover letter

A cover letter is not absolutely necessary. However, we would like to encourage you to write a cover letter that explains why you are interested in a position at the Fraunhofer Institute for Digital Media Technology and what your expectations are. For a better classification of your application, it is also useful to mention which fields of activity and topics appeal to you the most. This will give our colleagues in the research departments a good first impression and your application documents will provide a good basis for initial interviews.

Is it possible to apply for several jobs at the same time?

Yes. You can apply for several jobs at the same time with little effort in our online application system.

Can the application be edited in the system afterwards?

Yes, please log in via SelfService with the account you have created. You can now access your application again and add information or documents such as certificates.

If documents are missing from your application, it will be marked as incomplete in the system and will not be processed further. It is therefore important that you always ensure that your application documents are complete when you submit them.

Is it possible to apply by e-mail?

No. Due to data protection regulations, applications submitted by e-mail are not permitted. We are not allowed to accept applications submitted by e-mail. Therefore, please only apply online via our job portal. You can find all current vacancies here.

When can I expect to receive feedback on my application? Will you send an acknowledgement of receipt?

Since the processing of your application depends on several factors, we unfortunately cannot make any general statements here. Of course, we will try to give you feedback as soon as possible. An acknowledgement of receipt is always sent automatically when you apply through our job portal.

How can the current application status be queried?

Please contact the person named in the job advertisement. In addition, you can of course also contact our human resources department, which you can find on the right-hand side of this page.

What does TVöD mean?

TVöD is the collective agreement for the public sector. We follow the regulations of this collective agreement in terms of employment, remuneration and social benefits. You can find more information about the TVöD here (unfortunately only in German).

Is the confidentiality of the application maintained?

Of course, your application will be treated confidentially. We comply with the provisions of the Federal Data Protection Act. You can find more information on this in our privacy statement, which is displayed when you apply online.

How long does Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft store the application documents?

We anonymize your data at the latest six months after the end of a selection process. We then only use the anonymized data records for statistical evaluations. Conclusions about your person are then no longer possible.

You can withdraw your application and delete your profile in the Fraunhofer Job Market at any time. If you choose not to delete your data, it will be deleted as described above six months after completion of the selection process. Please note our data protection regulations. With your application, you declare your agreement with their conditions.
