Fraunhofer Institute for Digital Media Technology IDMTThere had been hardly any search and recommendation engines specializing on global music portfolios (Worldmusic). In the project GlobalMusic2One, a new generation of hybrid music search has been developed, making use of MIR (Music Information Retrieval) as well as of Web2.0 technologies. The aim was to achieve a new quality for automated recommendations and online marketing of global music portfolios.

- Developing a framework for Personalized, Adaptive Music Information Retrieval (PAMIR)
- Developing an annotation tool for music data
- Improvement of existing music classification algorithms
