Acoustic cleaning of photovoltaic modules

Together with its project partner Silberform AG, the Fraunhofer IDMT is presenting the research project "AKSORE - Acoustic Cleaning of Photovoltaic Modules" at Intersolar Europe 2025 in Munich, the world's leading trade fair for the solar industry.

The aim of the project is to develop an innovative, non-contact method for cleaning PV modules using acoustic vibrations through structure-borne sound excitation. The technology removes dirt such as dust and pollen without the need for water or mechanical aids - it is sustainable, low maintenance and particularly suitable for large solar systems or surfaces that are difficult to access.

A demonstrator will be available at the stand to show the acoustic cleaning process in action, as well as providing detailed information on the project and insights into the collaboration with Silberform AG for practical implementation.

We look forward to your visit and to meeting you in person at stand A2.236 in hall A2.
