Use Case: Photovoltaic Module Cleaning Based on Structure-Borne Sound

Your challenge

Even a thin layer of dust can noticeably reduce the performance of photovoltaic systems – losses of 20 percent or more are not uncommon. In dry and semi-arid regions, dust accumulation is particularly high. This leads to increased levelized cost of electricity (LCOE) due to lost energy production and higher operational and maintenance costs.

Your benefit

Regular cleaning is essential to avoid performance losses – ideally cost-effective and without interfering with the system. Our exciters, mounted directly on PV modules, remove dust and dirt automatically using vibration-based cleaning adapted to the level of contamination. The exciters are powered directly by solar modules and require no maintenance.

Extras

The exciters can be retrofitted to existing photovoltaic systems and modules and adapted to specific regional conditions and types of contamination.
