Content Verification Toolbox
At IBC 2026, the Content Verification Toolbox brings together a range of technologies that help media organizations investigate content from different perspectives. The toolbox addresses key challenges arising from generative AI and increasingly sophisticated media manipulation – from verifying media content to tracing its reuse and analyzing patterns of dissemination.
From verification to provenance and content intelligence
With a focus on audio and speech, the toolbox includes technologies for:
- Content verification: As generative AI and manipulation techniques evolve rapidly, synthesis detection must be able to deal with new methods and real-world content while ensuring explainability. We help organizations evaluate and select technologies suited to their needs. We also develop novel detection methods, including person-centric, multimodal approaches to manipulation and synthesis detection.
- Provenance and authentication: we develop content-based provenance methods that identify reused content and relationships between versions, providing evidence even across “analog gaps”. They complement C2PA-based provenance and authentication, including the marking of synthetic content in complex media workflows – increasingly relevant under the EU AI Act.
- Coordination analysis: Forensic technologies identify hidden traces in media content to help expose coordinated disinformation campaigns and inauthentic behavior aimed at influencing social media rankings across platforms.
- Program analysis: Content-based technologies analyze audio-visual material, without the need for additional data, enabling broadcasters to compare programs and derive insights from existing media collections to optimize planning, understand the competitive landscape and demonstrate value through automated reporting.
Privacy Enhancing Technologies support the entire portfolio, protecting sensitive data and confidentiality where required.
