Train your own AI models, improve quality control

Fraunhofer IDMT develops intelligent applications for acoustic monitoring, based on the latest AI technologies, for use in industrial quality assurance.

With the advancing automation of complex production and manufacturing processes up to batch size 1, the need for automatic quality monitoring is also increasing. Humans are only selectively involved in these inspection processes and must be able to rely on supporting systems. The application of AI-based, acoustic testing methods makes sense when conventional methods (optical methods, or statistical analyses) reach their limits or more precise measurement results are sought in quality assurance. The use of such intelligent testing software meets with acceptance among users above all when they can operate the software themselves and AI decisions are presented in a comprehensible manner.

In the exhibitor catalog of the virtual Hannover Messe, you will get insights into some of our conducted experiments in the field of acoustic event detection with AI. We have already proven that our AI-based methods can be profitably used for acoustic quality control in feasibility studies with selected companies in industrial manufacturing. Based on the results obtained, we are now developing the software IDMT-ISAAC, which provides quality assurance specialists with a tool that reliably supports them in testing procedures - even without own AI-knowledge. Users can train their own AI models with IDMT-ISAAC and thus traceably improve and automate their quality assurance.
